1. Use of Service

TipFair provides tools to calculate, split, save, and manage the distribution of gratuities (tips) among service-industry staff. You agree to use the service only for lawful, legitimate purposes and in compliance with all applicable employment, wage, and tax laws in your jurisdiction.

You may not use TipFair to facilitate wage theft, tax evasion, or any form of fraudulent accounting.

2. No Guarantee of Accuracy

While TipFair employs careful rounding and reconciliation logic, we do not guarantee that outputs are free of errors. Calculations depend entirely on the accuracy of your inputs. You are responsible for:

• Verifying all numbers before distributing funds to staff.
• Ensuring compliance with your establishment's tip-pooling policies and applicable law.
• Confirming that tax estimates reflect your actual tax obligations.

3. Your Data

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of data you input (names, hours, roles, tip amounts).
• You must not input unlawful, false, or personally sensitive data belonging to others without their consent.
• TipFair does not validate the legality of your tip-pooling arrangements.

4. Intellectual Property

All design, branding, code, and software components of TipFair are proprietary. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, rebrand, or redistribute TipFair or any part of it without explicit written permission from TipFair.

5. Limitation of Liability

TipFair is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• TipFair is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.
• This includes (but is not limited to) financial loss, disputes between staff or management, tax penalties, underpaid wages, or loss of data.
• Your use of TipFair is entirely at your own risk.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial periods except where required by law. Prices are subject to change with 30-day notice.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to TipFair at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or that we determine to be harmful to the service, other users, or third parties.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TipFair operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction, as applicable.
